At what kinds of events have you performed?
What is the size of your audiences? How long are your shows? To what age does your show appeal? How much do you charge? Can you do an outside show? Do you do birthday parties? Do you come to people's homes? Do you bring a gift for the birthday child? How much room do you need? What do you need from me? How much time does it take for you to set up? How do I pay you? At what kinds of events have you performed? I have performed at schools, libraries, state fairs, festivals, church family nights, preschools, picnics, block parties, lodges, nursing homes and television. I have performed at every possible venue where puppets might add to the enjoyment. Back to Top What is the size of your audiences? Because, after all, puppets are not as large as humans, I limit my audience size to two hundred and fifty. For larger crowds I suggest two shows and I give a better rate on the second. Back to Top How long are your shows? Most all of my shows are between forty and forty-five minutes long. Perhaps you are thinking that this is too long for a young child, but I have solved the problem by structuring my shows so that there is something new happening all the time. Back to Top To what age does your show appeal? All ages! I believe that puppets are a whole-family entertainment. I always have lots of action for the littlest ones, a lot of silly jokes for the middle ones and even jokes for the grownups. Everyone has fun at a puppet show! Back to Top How much do you charge? Rates are variable and need to be discussed with me. I determine the rate on: a) how far I must travel; b)how much equipment I must bring; c) how large the audience; and d) the time of year. Back to Top Can you do an outside show? Of course, providing there is no rain,snow, hail or high winds. In addition, I will not jeopardize my eyesight or the eyesight of my audience by playing in the direct sun. A place in the shade of a tree, a pavilion or a building will suit me just fine. If, however, you wish to have an outdoor show, I ask that an alternate rain site be chosen at the time you book the show. Back to Top Do you do birthday parties? By all means! I have been entertaining the "birthday child" and friends for over thirty years. What easier way to create a memorable birthday than a puppet show? And Mom, while the children are laughing and shouting at the puppets, you can be setting up the cake and ice cream. At the end of the show I always gather the children for a "photo op"and then off to the table they go. Back to Top Do you come to people's homes? Yes, I will come to wherever you wish. I have set up in basements, living rooms, garages and on the lawn. I will also come to your club or your church social hall or any facility of your choice. Back to Top Do you bring a gift for the birthday child? No, I don't. I believe that the show itself is the gift of the parents and I tell this to the child. Back to Top How much room do you need? I need a space of six foot by six foot. The ceiling height must be seven foot eight or higher. Back to Top What do you need from me? Not a thing except a single outlet within fifteen feet of the setup area. I come with my own stage, lights and sound system. Back to Top How much time does it take for you to set up? Even though it takes me about forty minutes to set up, I always arrive an hour before the time of the performance. Back to Top How do I pay you? Payment is due at time of performance.
