TOWARD PROFICIENCY WITH PUPPETS Puppets are a wonderful art project, but all too many teachers leave it at that, never tapping into the real power of the puppet. What better way of teaching or reinforcing writing skills than with a puppet script? How natural to explore sequencing, character development, elements of plot and writing dialogue? In this two-hour workshop Sander not only presents numerous puppets that your students can make quickly and cheaply, but also gives teachers ideas on how to use puppets to promote proficiency skills.

THE PARABLES: AN INTERGENERATIONAL PUPPET PROJECT
	This is a five 2-hour session puppet project designed to bring youngsters and oldsters together to study and dramatize the parables. Children, parents and grandparents join together to study parables, make puppets, develop scripts, learn puppet manipulation and present the final puppet production. Enthusiasm guaranteed!

STORYTELLING WITH PUPPETS Not all puppet events take place on the puppet stage. Explore with Nancy the different ways puppets can be used with storytelling. Shadow puppets on the overhead projector, the simple walker theater, humanettes, mouth moving puppets and masks: these are only a few of the puppet techniques explored in this exciting, fun-filled workshop for all who want to expand their storytelling repetoire.

PUPPETS GO TO CHURCH For those who wish to spice up their Sunday School curriculum, this is the workshop for you. Sander has used puppets in her church for years and will give you ideas for building puppets and help you with ideas of building a puppet ministry. She presents many different puppets that the children can make in one Sunday school session.
