EMMY-AWARD WINNER PUPPETEER

Nancy Sander, aka Nutso P. Squirrely (also Know-It-Owl and Smelly Bob), was principal puppeteer consultant, puppet builder, puppet creator and puppet script writer for the Emmy-Award winning children's television show, "Hickory Hideout," produced by WKYC-TV and WNBC-TV. She received an Emmy Award for her contribution to children's television. "Hideout" also won the Parents' Choice Award, the National Education Association Award, the Ohio Education Association Award and received a silver medal in the International Film and TV Awards of New York.

Sander has been performing throughout Northeastern Ohio for over thirty years. Noted for her fast-paced, audience-participation style, Sander has been rocking audiences young and old.She performs full-length puppet shows, teaches puppet workshops, performs in commercials and trade shows and builds specialty puppets for puppeteers, ventriloquists and TV commercials.

PUNCH PROFESSOR OF THE PUNCH AND JUDY SHOW

"Professor" Nancy Sander has been performing authentic Punch and Judy shows since 1979. She has been the "Grand Pooh-bah" of the American Branch of the Worldwide Friends of Punch and Judy and has performed at the Punch and Judy Festival in Seattle. She has collected over fifty scripts of the Punch and Judy shows, some dating back to the eighteenth century and spends much of her time rehearsing and reviving many of the old routines. Here is the gang at DeRuyter, New York, waiting for the show to begin. Sander spends her summer months (June 1st through October 1st) at Sylvan Beach, NY. Bringing her puppets with her, Sander is able to entertain children throughout Upstate New York.
